Xiamen Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate college approved by China’s Ministry of Education. It is located in the beautiful coastal city of Xiamen with very convenient sea, land and air transportation.

The college campus was designed by Mr. Zhou Kai, a famous architect in China. At a high starting point and aiming for high standards, XIT has been striving to build a garden-like, ecological and digital campus for its students and faculties. Upon visiting, one may find the campus planning and layout is reasonable, the architectural style is unsophisticated and dignified, the environment is beautiful and quiet, the teaching and living facilities are complete and there is a strong cultural atmosphere.

XIT currently has seven secondary schools including the School of Mechanics and Materials, the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the School of Business, the School of Culture and Communication, the School of Basic Sciences and the School of International Education. So far, there are over 10,000 full-time students on campus. We offer 28 undergraduate majors to students from all over the country. Requirements:

2. Employment Types: Full-time, Double-employment and Part-time.

3. Salaries & Benefits:

3.1 Salaries:

All full-time teaching positions at XIT are filled according to professional/technical titles. Annual salaries are adopted. Salaries for specific positions are negotiable upon face to face meetings.

3.2 Benefits:

Ø Social Security: After entering into contract with XIT, one can enjoy social insurances (pension insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, industrial injury insurance, and maternity insurance) and contributions to housing fund according to related laws and rules of Xiamen City.

Ø Seniority Pay: For every full year’s service, one may enjoy an extra RMB 100 per month.

Ø Housing Arrangements on Campus:

- For faculty members who don’t own any properties in Xiamen, they can rent apartments from the college at a low price.

- After entering formal employment, one may purchase fully-furnished apartments (single-room apartment, 47 cm2; two-bedroom apartment, 88 cm2; three-bedroom apartment, 104.33-145 cm2) built on campus at a price as low as the construction cost (about RMB 3,500 per m2).

Ø For faculty members who have children, they can send them to public schools and kindergartens in the city or the affiliated school of XIT with tuition fees discounted.

Ø Household Registration and Documentation: After entering contract with XIT, the personnel relations can be entrusted to Xiamen Talent Service Center and registered into the college’s collective household.

Ø Other benefits: XIT organizes a physical examination for its faculty members each year and gives out heatstroke prevention subsidies, festival bonus, consolation money as well as wedding, birthday and parenthood gift money.

3.3 Remunerations for High-level Talents:

Ø For those who are qualified as high-level talents as the college recognizes, they may enjoy corresponding remunerations it offers. For more details on this, please scan QR code of XIT’s public Wechat account and ask for related information in the Talents Recruitment Module.

Ø For those who are qualified as high-level talents according to related policies issued by Fujian provincial government and Xiamen Municipal government, we shall assist them in applying for related remunerations. For example, we shall help those who are qualified as stipulated in related talent-attracting plans apply for corresponding allowance and housing subsidies. For example, there are “Minjiang Experts’ Rewards Plan” on provincial level, “Diversity Talents Plan” on municipal level (according to which, Taiwan experts can enjoy a subsidy as high as RMB 1.5 million) and “Double-hundred Plan”. 3.4 Remunerations for Double-employment or Part-time:

Ø Remunerations for double-employments and part-times shall be calculated and paid according to teaching and research workloads agreed in contracts and in the form of projects.
